Forest Path

The prospect of our own or a loved one’s dying can be overwhelming. It’s easier to ignore it—until we can’t. That’s when we wonder if there’s another—better—way to do this.

With planning and intention, how we go can be a profound expression of the life we’ve lived. We can clarify end-of-life choices and the legacies that matter to each of us. We can provide clear direction for care choices that reflect who we are and what we value.

Paradoxically, planning for a good death can refocus us on living more fully. That clarity can also lighten the burden for those we leave behind, a profound gift at a difficult time.

With compassion and no judgment, Good Passage guides, supports, and advocates for the end-of-life path that honors your essence with dignity, comfort, and peace of mind.

End-of-Life Doula

Jana is a graduate of the pioneering University of Vermont End-of-Life Doula Program. After a career as an entrepreneur and consulting strategist, she returned to the Bitterroot Valley to care for her elderly parents, an experience that inspired a book and her training to serve the local community. She is also caretaker of the Redsun Labyrinth and a volunteer with Friends of the Bitterroot Public Library.

“I truly believe that the way we die can be a meaningful culmination of the life we’ve lived. I’m honored to support people as they face and take hold of choices that create every chance of a “good death”—a passage that reflects their unique essence, with dignity and comfort. Being present for that, doing what I can to make space for that, is a privilege.”
